Dr. Roswitha Harrer
I graduated from university with a degree in chemistry. My doctorate came next, with my thesis research delving into photosynthesis, proteins, plant pigmentation, light and moss. Exciting stuff, don’t you agree?
I’m passionate about sharing scientific knowledge. As a freelancing editor for international chemistry journals and reference works, I've perfected the skill of editing manuscripts for publication, ensuring that the content is as clear and accessible as possible. And that mission has been at the heart of WORDS4SCIENCE ever since 2011.
... involves careful planning to ensure that your own content and concepts are communicated effectively. This was covered by the introductory training course I took in 2020 through the Düsseldorf-based German Academy for Public Relations. Communicating clearly through written scientific texts is what I do best.
I’m a scientist with a degree in chemistry, and I’ve been a certified translator for English since 2018. My background means that I’m dedicated to using the correct terminology consistently to craft translations that are easy to read and have the same impact as the original text. I am a member of the German Federal Association of interpreters and translators (BDÜ), which is committed to high quality standards and compliance with professional and ethical norms of professional practice.
