Chemical translations, editing and writing Roswitha Harrer

Attraction?

Humans are also attracted by matter—simply because it is there and it is interesting. The Netherland physicist van der Waals aptly chose these words as his motto.

About me

I studied chemistry in Darmstadt and Würzburg in the 1990s. For my doctoral dissertation, I moved to Bayreuth University to conduct research in the field of photosynthesis. After continuing this work for another three years as a scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysics, I joined a science publisher. Since 2003, I have translated, written and edited scientific work, since 2011 under the company name WORDS4SCIENCE: “words for science.”

I have a diploma degree in chemistry and a doctoral degree in the natural sciences.
I am a state-certified translator for English.
I am member of the Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer Membership logo BDÜ, the professional association of interpreters and translators in Germany.
